It is the second oldest open water swim in the United States. 2023 will mark 107 years since the first race was held. It has been run almost exclusively by volunteers and community members. The La Jolla Cove Swim is a non-profit event and is operated under The Kiwanis Club of La Jolla, a 501(c)3 organization. All proceeds from this annual swim, which takes place the first Sunday after Labor, will be donated to community organizations such as La Jolla Concerts by the Sea and The Prevent Drowning Foundation of San Diego.
Come out and get wet with your fellow swimmers as we enjoy La Jolla Cove and the spirit of giving with this unique 10 mile swim event and fundraiser. Organize a team of up to 5 swimmers or swim it solo. Donations are encouraged.
